La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Orlando I Drive/Conv Ctr

Looks like it was probably very nice when it was new. A little frayed around the edges now... carpets VERY dingy and stained. Welcoming staff.! Not far from attractions. Breakfast, yes free, but just a bit on the skimpy side. I stayed for just one night to attend a conference at the Orange County Conference Center. The bed was comfortable enough for a good night sleep. Not expensive, but not a great value either.

I was here for 5 nights for a conference, and honestly, the stay was great! It is definitely walkable from the Hyatt Regency if you're looking for something a bit cheaper. It would take me about 20 minutes to walk there. Keep in mind, I didn't eat the hotel breakfast, nor did I use the TV, so I can't provide any helpful information there. The room was overall clean, everything worked, and I enjoyed my stay. I am such a freak when it comes to bugs, so I was SO happy to see that none were present (I did a thorough check!). The treadmill in the gym was nice as well. Only downfall was that the elevators take turns breaking down, but as I was on the 4th floor, I honestly didn't mind at all taking the stairs. If I attend another conference, I will definitely be staying here again!

Stayed 5 days for work. The Hotel was very run down and many things did not work. For example, the lobby furniture had large holes in it, one elevator did not work and the out of order sign looked quite old. The elevator that was in use was barely working. The door was messed up and had a hard time opening and closing and was extremely slow, sometimes not even fully closing. Ice machines didn't work and had to go to different floors to find one that did. The hot tub, that we planned to use, was not working and appeared to have been that way for a long time. One of the mattresses on the bed was sunken in the middle. On the plus side the other bed was very comfortable. The room was fairly clean, and the TV worked well with good channels to choose from. ​While the staff members were pleasant and welcoming, the hotel itself is in a state of serious disrepair. Coming back here after a long day at a trade show was a real letdown. During my stay in room 707, I dealt with a flickering TV and a key card reader that took at least 10 tries to function. ​The property-wide issues are just as bad: the elevators are broken, and the hot tub looks like it hasn't worked in years. Breakfast was unappealing and lacked effort. I certainly wouldn’t recommend this for a family vacation—unless you want your primary memory to be how lousy the accommodations were.

Just completed a 4 nights stay with my husband at this La Quinta on Univ Blvd. I must echo the more current 1-star reviews of this place. The entire building is VERY run down and neglected making the stay feel ‘icky’. The carpets are all stained especially in the lobby/breakfast area. The mattresses both needed replacements as well as most of the pillows. The AC units drip down the exterior walls making the building look horrible with big black patches. And the elevator….. It is sooo ancient and slow and scary. There was only one in operation for the entire hotel. I could go on with reasons for this negative review, but I’ll stop here. THE POSITIVE - The location is fantastic. So much to do and variety of restaurants to choose from all within easy walking distance plus easy to drive to. B
