La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Orlando Airport

This hotel was once, and could be, a great place to recommend. The rooms are large, very clean, and comfortable, with plenty of bath towels, a cozy large bed, hot water, and a warm, varied breakfast. The shuttle is free, though slow during busy periods. There’s also a small convenience shop on-site, and the night receptionist was friendly and multitasking efficiently. The rate is reasonable.||At this time, I cannot recommend the hotel due to:| • Large brown stain on the bathroom ceiling| • Strong, penetrating cleaning spray odors| • Sealed window| • Wall-mounted heater/AC unit| • Very small TV| • No safe| • Non-working hair dryer with no loaner when requested| • Housekeeping knocking many times despite a 2-day stay and “Do Not Disturb” sign| • Unpleasant dark residue inside the toilet rim

I had an enjoyable time. The service was great. The location is near restaurants, bars and stores for all my needs. I was disappointed regarding the pool and hot tub area. It needs to be better kept. The outside furniture needs cushions (very hard seating) and the hot tub needs to be a priority to repair. I was looking forward to using it. Overall it was overall a positive experience. Gabe

Shuttle from the Airport to the hotel was well detailed and explained. They come every hour for pick up. The driver was nice and friendly. The drive was only about 5 minutes from the hotel. Check in went smoothly, the person on duty was cordial and made check in easy. A smile goes along way, I appreciated it. Our room is clean but dated.specifically the bathroom, no lock in the door either. There were no USB chargers on any outlet in our room, they do have them in the lobby. Breakfast was typical, waffles, cereal, eggs and sausage. If traveling on a cruise departing day, earlier the better to avoid lines. The pool was open, the water was too cold to actually swim. Overall our experience went well, we we stay again.

After reading similar reviews, I am only here to validate my experience, which seems familiar to others. I do not have much else to add except: Check in is at 3pm. Not 2:45. Not 2:55. It is 3pm, and expect to wait in line with all the other folks in the lobby, adding about an additional half hour to your check-in process. Their process for this needs to be revised and revised because it's broken. The shuttle service was great and very much appreciated. Thankfully, I inquired at check-in, when I learned that you must sign up for the service and that there are very limited spots per hour. Positive: The live expereicen with person at the front desk. EXCEPT they never ansewered the phone when I was on property or off. I had to have reservations department get the front desk on the line.They have cut costs to the bone- so no customer service. Negative: Motel room was filthy, conflictting information about times shuttle would arrive at the airport. I am a cancer patient traveling to see a doctor and had to wait at airport for hours because they would not wave early check in fees. Penny pinching owner.
