La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Marysville

We’ve never stayed at any La Quinta properties before but did lately as we did a spur of the moment trip and our usual hotel was booked for valentines weekend. The property and the rooms are clean. Simple breakfast was a good touch. However what stood out for us was the amazing customer service that the front desk and the operations manager Lindsay extended to us. Great service is rare these days but these ladies care. Sorry I didn’t ask for the two ladies at the front desk who were super kind and thoughtful. And yes, we don’t typically say effusive things unless it is well deserved. If you’re looking for a place to stay in this area, look no more! As long as the same team is here we’d pick this if we ever need a place to stay in the area. Thank you ladies!

Clean and comfortable. Booked with Wyndham Rewards at a decent value. Breakfast was good. The only down side we experienced was noise from the train a block away. Luckily we always travel with earplugs so we weren't disturbed at night.

We experienced only two areas that we would have like to see some improvement. 1) The television channel menu did not match the actual channel. Therefore, if you were viewing the scrolling menu guide and found something you wanted to watch, it was nearly impossible to find the actual channel the program was on. An employee printed out a list of the channels that we were able to convert to the channel guide (somewhat). It worked out ok, but very inconvenient. Employee mentioned that all the rooms are different. It seems the television systems should all be the same. 2) The single king bed room only had one occasional chair. It would have been more comfortable for there to have been two chairs for double occupancy.

We had an amazing 2-night stay at this La Quinta! The staff was incredibly helpful and even allowed us to check in almost 2 hours early with no issues at all, which we really appreciated. The highlight for us was how clean the room was. It was absolutely spotless—no dirt, no spiders, and none of that "black stuff" you sometimes find in hotel corners. It’s clear the housekeeping team takes great pride in their work. A few highlights: * Breakfast: They offer a great included breakfast with a waffle station! * The Pool: It stays open until 11:00 PM, which was a huge plus for us. * Location: Super convenient! Like so many other people in Skagit County, I was evacuated during the recent floods. I was really worried we wouldn't be able to find a hotel that would let us stay with our cat and dog. The staff at the La Quinta in Marysville welcomed us. The rooms were reasonably priced and the pet deposit was only $25 per pet. The rooms were spacious, the refrigerator was actually cold, and we even had a microwave. The hotel was clean and the continental breakfast was better than most. I admit I like my coffee a bit stronger, but otherwise the selection was better than other hotels in the same price range. One thing that will prevent me from returning to any hotel is a warm shower without good water pressure. La Quinta had a hot shower that was better than any hotel I've stayed at for twice the price
