La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Festus - St. Louis South

Our plumbing went out and this hotel was close by. We stayed for an emergency, I'd never stay here again. ||This hotel is really run down. You can tell noone cares about it. The shower is disgusting with stains all over the shower curtains. I'm fairly certain there are homeless people sleeping in the lobby at night. Both nights there were people sleeping on the couches in the lobby. The little shop is not stocked. The breakfast was old and gross and I could not eat it. I gave it 2 stars only because the bed was very comfortable and it's very close to home and the price was good for the emergency I had. ||Oh and we were told that the elevator was broken... so we had to carry everything up the stairs and we had to change our king size bed for 2 queens so we could be on a lower level floor.

Very disappointed in this location. I arrived to check in today 2/27/25 at 245 pm. The hotel itself looks clean however there is a noticeable musty smell in the lobby. The young lady that went to check me and seems polite enough but you could tell she's either frustrated with life or the job orbals because it wasn't the normal kind of service I get. However, she was professional and did her job. Just not too friendly. So then they have a sign taped up that says elevator is broken, and gave me a room on the third floor 🤦 The hallway is at least 85 degrees on that floor but my room is nice. There's a little bit of a wet dog smell in my room by the door to the bathroom (311). But it's not terrible. Positive: The staff is really friendly and helpful. The room is clean. Negative: Unfortunately, the elevator did not work.

My wife and I had a very pleasant four-day stay over Christmas. It was always restful returning to our room after busy days of visiting relatives. The entire facility was very clean. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Very good pricing. Only glitch was the desk chair had a broken roller, but the staff replaced it first thing. Would enthusiastically recommend this property for a stay.

Extremely hot hotel rooms especially for January. See the thermostat at 61 and couldn’t sleep the entire night. My dog had problems getting comfortable and panted all night. Very itchy bedsheets. CLC APP said 10/10 it is a strong 2/10. Some doors accept key cards just fine. Some doors you’ll need to put your items down to struggle a bit. Wrote my review before the housekeeping warriors..
