La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Decatur

Hands down this was the nastiest hotel I've ever stayed at! The toilet had paper in and looked to be used upon arrival. There was a chaise lounge in the room. It was cloth and had white spots on it and very dirty. Ewe!!! The microwave was dirty inside. Something on the wall by the door and I have no clue what it was. The floor looked dirty and a water bottle in the corner by the lounge. It had roaches and the wash cloths were thin and brown stained. The entire hotel needed alot of work. Whoever tried in bathroom needs a caulking class. The tub was stained brown. The outside grounds had trash everywhere. The manager was very friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean and beds were very comfortable! We ended having to check out a night early and they were very understanding and helpful! We will be using this location again next time we are in town!

Positive: The receptionist was super sweet and hospitable. We stayed in the family suite, which was very roomy and comfortable. Great beds, fluffy towels, cold AC, and good toiletries. This will definitely be our first choice hotel anytime we stay in Decatur,Tx. Negative: The breakfast can definitely be improved. The hard boiled eggs were so rubbery we couldn’t rip them open. Also the scrambled eggs & dry sausage were terrible. Waffle mix had a watery brown substance when we poured it on griddle. The rest was alright.

The hotel is not accurately depicted in the pictures posted online, only select features have been updated. The staff is not familiar with Wyndham Rewards and online check-in, they had me do redo everything when I arrived, as opposed to just showing my ID and grabbing my room key. Due to this, I ended getting charged twice for my stay. There are are several other options within a couple miles of this hotel, I would recommend choosing one of those options instead of this one.

This was a terrible experience . When we first walked in our room there was a bug on the bed , there were 2 roaches in the shower, feces smeared and dried on the shower curtain. BED BUGS all of the head boards of both beds just crawling all around and covered the corners of bed board. They wanted to just put us in a different room but at that point it was a NO !! I was not trying to take bugs home with me !!! Had to leave and find another hotel for our two night stay at midnight !!!
