La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Coral Springs South

Review of La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Coral Springs University Dr – 3701 N University Drive Calling this hotel a “dump” is honestly being generous. It is shocking that this is a Wyndham Hotels & Resorts associated property. As Bonvoy members accustomed to a certain standard, we expected far better. From the start, the stay was disappointing. The hotel advertises daily sheet and towel changes (it even states so on the bathroom mirror), yet housekeeping only cleans the room every three days unless you specifically request service. After two days, we had to bring our used towels down to the front desk ourselves just to receive fresh ones. Noise & Supervision Issues Day 1: The room next to us was occupied by what appeared to be a youth sports team. They ran up and down the hallways

First room first floor had musky smell. Fridge and microwave old and rusty. At 4:30pm room was still not cleaned. Toilet was leaking and flooded the bathroom. Door key continually not working, Door looked like it can be opened easily. There was a connecting room door which did not seem secure so I did not feel safe and did not sleep well; I pulled a table in front of the connecting door. Room changed to another one on the second floor due to the toilet leak and that was a better room but had some issues, like the spread on one bed looked like it was not clean. AC was not that cold even at 60 degrees F, but comfortable. I had a Much better night. Staff very pleasant and friendly, especially the front desk staff.

Positive: "" Negative: Carpet smelled terrible Headboard was stained with other people's hair, etc Refrigerator had a rust stains on door.The sheets were not smooth, did not feel fresh.

Low-key catfish. Based on the area, I assumed this hotel would be much nicer than it actually was. Unfortunately, the hotel smells like wet carpet and cigarette smoke, and it gives more of a motel vibe than a hotel experience. While the staff was absolutely amazing, very helpful, friendly, and always smiling, there were roaches in both the room and bathroom, which is unacceptable. The surrounding area is great, though. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and having Trader Joe’s right next door is super convenient. Overall, despite the great location and kind staff, this stay was a no for me.

Sink was extremely slow draining. It made washing hands and brushing teeth difficult. We ran the shower for 35 minutes and still did not have any hot water. Wanted to charge $30 dollars for early check in. We got there 5 minutes early. Will definitely not stay there again and strongly suggest other people ding a different hotel.
