Courtyard by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Coral Springs

I am extremely disappointed with my stay at Courtyard by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Coral Springs. During the night, a female hotel employee entered my room without knocking, calling, or announcing herself. At the time, I was inside the room and unclothed, which caused me severe shock, fear, and emotional distress. What makes this even more troubling is that the employee openly admitted to entering the room, stating she was looking for a baby blanket allegedly left by a previous guest, and told me she would report it to the front desk. However, hotel management later denied that any staff member entered my room, claiming an internal audit showed no entry. I went to this hotel to check in and provided my name to the front desk associate. she informed me that she did not see my reservation, so I give her my confirmation number. she again said she did not see my reservation and suggested I call Marriott. I asked if my reservation was for this hotel, and she confirmed it was, but she could not locate it in the system and that I need to contact Marriott directly.|While I was on the side handling a personal call, the manger that was the agent at the desk said to me that I have a bad attitude and needed to fixed it. I asked her what did I do or said to be perceived that way, but she did not provide an answer. Positive: Modern furnishings, bedding/linens were very good; Negative: Had no free coffee urn in the hotel lobby.….besides no available for complementary, the charge to buying a cup was $4.50 considering room rate being $--- per night, a charge for coffee was chessy!

The hotel is nice. I wound not writing this post except for the service I received at the Bistro. Joel Rowan and his partner did an awesome job at bar. The chicken quesadilla was perfect you could Joel put a lot love in making it. He also was my bartender and made sure I never ran out of anything. After the Quesadilla had the wings you also tell these were made with love. That is when Joel partner came and also did a wonderful job. An average work away from home turned out to a pleasant evening.

I stayed in room 210. The main entrance light to the room did not work. There were ants on the countertops. There was also a black strip of mold located right in front of the bathroom tub. After reporting the issue to the front desk, I was greeted with a nauseating smell of bleach when I returned back to my room. I was told by the front desk that I would be contacted by management and it’s been radio silence since. I emailed the general manager over two weeks ago and I am still waiting on a response.
