La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Columbus TX

I was in Columbus for work. The room was nice. The tub had rust in it! The curtain was see-through! The lamp had rust on it! Bed was nice and the backsplash! The pool need to be cleaned! The Jacuzzi was broke! I spent 1 night and couldn't sleep! Furniture was all over the Hotel! Staff said it was being remodeled!

Clean with some repairs needed, hotel was under renovation. Hot tub not operating. Walls needed repairs along with molding around shower.

We were happy with our stay overall and the breakfast gentleman was absolutely amazing. He was on top of cleaning and filling the food with a great personality. There is rot on the wall next to the bathtub and there were 3 cockroaches in our shower in the morning. But the rooms felt clean and the hotel was clean.

Stayed here for one night November 28, 2025. Hotel is slowly being renovated, apparently while still operating. Some things ok, but our room was not — see photos. The bathroom was disgusting and worn out. Internet was too slow for work purposes. Whether our room was completed or not, it was unacceptable.

They ran my card twice and put a hold twice which left me without funds for my next day's stay. I called and the front desk gal lied and said to call expedia as they charged it. It was pay at the hotel, not prepaid. i called again and she kept saying that it only shows once, She couldn't answer my questions and I asked for the manager, told me she would be in at 10:00 and would call me , never did. Called again and the kid who was manning the front desk was a total dummy and rude, didn't know anything and kept saying the manager was not available. I said can't you call her ? He said "I can but she wouldn't be able to do anything". He said "she left". Now I have to wait to dispute the charge until Monday. Horrible experience . BBB is next, media and headquarters. Shame on them!
