Holiday Inn Express & Suites Columbus by IHG

Stayed herefor 3 nights. Clean, VERY comfortable beds, great breakfast til 9:30. Very friendly English speaking staff. Property was clean and good safe location. Easy access to I-10. Would definitely stay here again! Would recommend updated charging station with C adapters and tighten electrical outlets.

Issues: AC did not work very well. Shower was not hot. Door to the room did not work very well. Positives: Staff were very nice and helpful. Overall hotel was clean. Hotel is convenient to restaurants. Overall, OK place as there are limited options in Columbus, TX. However, lower end of hotel expenses.

We've stayed at several Columbus hotels, and the Holiday Inn could be the best so far. But small issues limit our enthusiasm. ||The TV remote in our first room didn't work, to the point that we couldn't even turn the TV off, and wound up unplugging it for the night. The front desk clerk tried her best to help, but no luck. We asked for someone to fix it the next day while we were out, but the TV was still permanently on when we returned, with no explanation why or whether anyone had attempted to fix it. We moved to a different room. ||The next issue was the need to have the room key reprogrammed ... at least three times. I read pretty bad reviews about this HI Express, but it was the closest thing I could find to Round Top for the Fall 2025 Antiques week, so I booked it. The location is directly off I-10, easy to find, and we arrived around 5pm. Front desk staff was friendly enough, not overly though. The elevator worried me a bit, as it's a bit dirty and squeaky, however when we got to our room (310) it was absolutely lovely. Recently remodeled, I couldnt find a thing wrong with it. Had a mini fridge that worked really well, a microwave, a K Cup coffee maker with coffee and a couple of Teas provided. Shampoo/conditioner/body wash/hand soap and body lotion were all provided in pump dispensers - Dove products. The bed was on the firm size, but very clean, 4 pillows per queen bed. So tonight (1/10/26) we had a bathtub that wasn’t draining properly. We were quickly moved to another room and she even came up to give us the new key card! The service tonight has been excellent! This is our second stay here and there’s a reason I chose this over another place! Thank you and I recommend this location 100%
