La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Clinton Historic Route 66

To be clear this is not a five star hotel. It's a solid 2.5 star hotel but for expectations it met them all. One of if not the best value across a few cities nearby. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was fair. The sausage was the best! Sausage gravy was good. They had tater tots for potatoes which was a great move but we were at the tail end and got some harder drier ones. Don't wait until the end of the breakfast time to eat. The rest pretty much like any other hotel. I would have liked asome options on juice and maybe a banana but seriously no real complaints against expectations. We were pulling an RV and they had a nice lot for parking with an entrance on that end of the building.

Stayed here, due to traveling with pets and children. Hotel pet friendly and has pool.||||Hotel seemed clean, but one of the two rooms we got, had bugs. Dead bug in refrigerator and bug crawling on bed while trying to goto sleep.||||Good parking, even for large trucks or when pulling trailers.||||Decent breakfast.||||Overall, an okay place to stay, if you get a bug free clean room.

The room was clean, quiet and nice. I read a review about bugs in their room. There are no bugs. I’m thinking the person must have picked it up outside someplace because this place is spotless. The manager and her husband are very nice and friendly and so are the folks that come up there to visit. I enjoyed my evening sitting talking with other residents of the town that come out there to enjoy a beer together in the evening. It is a very hometown type place. I would highly recommend it to anybody. I would definitely stay there again. It’s off the highway and a quiet spot and has large area for parking trailers and trucks.

My family and I are moving cross country. We were planning a stop in Elk Cith, but couldn't find a pet friendly hotel with an open indoor pool, so we took a chance with this hotel a bit further down the road. Upon arrival, property seemed nice, had plenty of parking and also nice big area for trucks and vehicles pulling trailers. Which was great cause we had 2 vehicles, one pulling a travel trailer. Entering lobby, it was clean and inviting. Was a little rowdy in there, due to the bar being in lobby, which was no big deal. I speak to receptionist, informed them of our 2 room reservation and we had pets. Here is where it was semi confusing. We had 4 pets, 2 for each room, and was told there was a $100 fee.
