La Quinta Inn by Wyndham New Orleans West Bank / Gretna

This was honestly the WORST two days of my life. After so many flight delays, I finally get there late at night, exhausted, and they give me a room key. I open the door… and there’s a HALF NAKED MAN watching TV in the bed I was supposed to be in. I was shocked and terrified.To make it worse, there’s NO ELEVATOR. My room was on the THIRD floor, and I had to drag a 50-pound suitcase all the way up. Nobody warned me about that either.I go back down and tell the girl at the front desk what happened. She didn’t even seem surprised or worried , like this wasn’t the first time something like that had happened. She just looked stressed out, dealing with other people complaining too, and basically brushed it off. No urgency, no real apology.She gives me another key, I go to the next room, and guess

The building is in terrible shape. Paint peeling from the ceiling and walls. Filth abounds. The bathtub coating was decayed, the porcelain was apparently painted to cover wear. There was a panhandler in the room next to me and she repeatedly asked me for spare change. The first room I had had some sort of liquid in front of the toilet so I asked for a new room and got one. The second room was just as bad sans bathroom liquids. As I write this, I am looking at a picture of a room posted by La Quinta that is far from accurate. Finally, do not blame the staff, they are doing the best they can under the circumstances.

I made a reservation for two nights, and during check-in I was sent to three different rooms because the key pad wasn’t working. The front desk agent then assigned me to another room, but the room was in unacceptable condition. There was feces still in the toilet, the bed was dirty, and the room had a strong odor. I have video evidence of the condition of the room. I informed the front desk, and I was moved again. Unfortunately, the next room also had issues: the bed was not properly made, there was hair on the towels, and the tub was dirty. I’ve stayed at La Quinta many times and have never experienced anything like this. Because of the repeated issues and the condition of the rooms, I wasn't able to get a refund or cancellation of my reservation. I've sent laquinta an email and no res

The location was alright. It was close to the French Quarter and they allowed our puppy to stay. When we entered our room it had a strong odor, the door lock wasn't secured (looked like it was busted open). The sink was leaking, the bathtub looked like it hadn't been cleaned. There was only two bath towels for four people. No washcloths even though we decided not to bath here at all. We also used our pups kennel to put in front of the door for added protection. My husband went around and notice damage to windows on the back side of the hotel.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The room smelled absolutely terrible the moment we walked in. There were stains all over the floor, the curtains were filthy, and the TV didn’t even work. The hot water valve in the shower just spun and wouldn’t turn on properly. Even the elevator smelled like urine. While we were waiting in line to cancel our room, we found out we were the THIRD family doing the exact same thing. That alone should tell you everything. To make matters worse, we (along with four other guests) were initially given a room that was already occupied. Completely unacceptable and a serious safety concern.
