La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Ft. Lauderdale Tamarac East

So we came to Laquinta for a three night stay…I thought the place was just fine considering every other hotel we checked into was like 400 dollars a night! Our room was clean & spacious, the staff friendly and helpful, especially Dwayne on nights! I read a lot of bad reviews & im glad I didn’t listen to them. The breakfast is I believe from 6-9 during the week, on the weekend it goes until 10. Saturday & Monday morning I had no problem getting what I wanted…Saturday morning it was gone, they close the doors to the breakfast on time…So if you want something…Get your butt up & go! I booked a 13 day holiday(12nights) at this La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Fort Lauderdale 3800 W Commercial Blvd 33309. I was happy with the size of my room. King size bed, TV, microwave, fridge, bath with shower, iron and ironing board. Breakfast was okay, however I had to ask for hot water every time( for my tea). But I will say I did not have to wait long for the hot water. The receptionists were very friendly, Brenda, Kerly, Dwayne, ?Tenisha and the manager always said " Good morning |The Internet was very good in the first 10 days, however after the 11th day, the Internet was cutting in and out, but this didn't affect my enjoyment in Fort Lauderdale. |I would ask the receptionist for either extra towels, change my bed linen and before 3pm, these requests were achieved. Positive: It was close to where my function were Negative: The toilet wasn’t working properly. Apparently the person at the desk knew. She said to me if I did not like the room. Come down and they will do something. My question is why didn’t they do something before

The room is nice, though a bit dark, and I wished the windows could open wider. Still, there is air conditioning. The room was too cold, so I turned the AC to heat, and it started smoking, so I decided to just turn it off to be safe. The front desk staff are great and always help with the key, which unfortunately often stops working. I recommend not carrying the room key near electronic devices, as they seem to affect it. The bed is comfortable and clean, and so is the bathroom. It’s a calm and quiet place. The breakfast is classic—there’s something to eat even for vegetarians. I recommend staying here only if you have a car, as the neighborhood isn’t the best for walking, but it’s not noisy.

My room was big, king size bed, microwave, iron and ironing board, TV, good supply of towels, face towels, desk and two bedside cabinets. The room was clean and air conditioned. There was a bath, with shower, with supply of body wash and hair shampoo(I only used the body wash). If I needed by bed doing, I just told the receptionist and she would inform the "house keeper".
