La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Columbus Dublin

Overall I'd rate my stat at this hotel as good. Even though there was a little hiccup at the check-in (receptionist gave me the key card to an occupied room) that was resolved very quick. The hotel has fairly clean rooms. I can't say much about the cleaning frequency since I was staying for two nights only. The heating/AC unit gave me a little bit of a headache. Despite the setting for heating and 75°F it always began with blowing cold air and only switched to heating after a few minutes. That's pretty annoying if you sit at the desk right beside the vent opening. Breakfast is okay, the usual American stuff (waffles, cerials, bagels, scrambled eggs and meat paddies. An empty orange juice in the dispenser was replaced upon request.

Positive: I left on time. Negative: Got in late and was required to put a deposit down even though I paid in full online. Went to my car twice and was being watched both times by the desk clerk. Felt uncomfortably and couldn’t sleep. My toilet didn’t flush properly.

I am not sure how this hotel showed up in my list when I filtered the list to only show top-rated hotels near Columbus, Ohio. We've had a lot of snow here, but all of the surrounding businesses seem to have been able to deal with it successfully. However, at the hotel, there were many parking spaces that were unusable because they weren't cleared. After checking in, I went to my room. The hallways are dreary and dated. It was 25 degrees here yesterday and the heat was off in my room when I walked in. I wore my coat for at least an hour before I could take it off. The rooms are nothing special, but there is a lot of construction going on, so that may change. Room was clean and comfortable. ||When I walked in to register I had seen a female sitting in the lobby. A sign on the registration counter stated the attendant would return PROMPTLY. After I had been standing at the counter waiting an uncomfortable amount of the female got up from the lobby chair to take care of me. Her dislike of her job was clearly communicated in her manner and tone!||Breakfast was disappointing for me. Orange juices machine was empty for the entire time it took for us to eat. Eggs were portion controlled by not having a serving spoon. Serving implement was a SMALL pair of tongs which allowed very little food to be transferred from serving dish to plate. The hotel and staff is nice! And the location is great too! But, I've been staying at this location for the past 4 months for work and my truck has been broken into twice within 2 months 🤬 Teens come to a nicer area and breaking into vehicles looking for firearms. They have camera's but I wish they had on-site security at night. I like this hotel, rooms are nice and staff is friendly, and the location is perfect. Too bad for punk teenager criminals
