La Quinta Inn and Suites by Wyndham at WaTiki Waterpark

We booked directly through the hotel’s website for 2 adults and 4 children, and the system allowed us to reserve a room for six people with two king beds. At no point during booking was it disclosed that the hotel’s expectation is three people per bed, regardless of age.||Only after booking were we told:|The room has no sofa bed|The expectation is three people per bed||A rollaway bed costs $29.99 per night (this fee was not disclosed during booking, despite the site stating rollaways are “available”)||We accepted a discounted rollaway, but it turned out to be completely unusable. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable, with coil springs jabbing into the body, and no one was able to sleep on it at all. Positive: location, pillows, breakfast Negative: They charged $6.00 for a can of soda. They charged a deposit in case we trashed the room. I keep getting dozens of emails every day telling me to check out on line. I can not check out on line and the emails will not stop.

The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed the coffee bar and the citrus-flavored water station. The breakfast buffet offered the usual favorites—scrambled eggs or egg patties, sausage patties, and rotating options like pancakes or biscuits and gravy—along with cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, and a station to make a surprisingly good Belgian-style waffle. We stayed nearby to visit family, and our great-nieces and nephews had a blast at the water park. Thank you so much for the free passes! The adults also enjoyed drinks at the bar and food from Sliders. Nothing was disappointing—everything met or exceeded our expectations. We were very satisfied with our stay. We will definitely make a trip back and when we do, I’ll make reservations here!

It has been a long time since I have been to an all around great hotel. Front desk was so friendly, attentive just amazing. No one was on their phone, they paid attention to guests and genuinely seemed pleased to have guests. The place was very clean , tidy and organized, no bad odors. The rooms are spacious and clean. Only down fall is hot water takes a while to get hot, like 5 minutes, understandable with a water park. The water park was so fun, my husband and I went on water slides more than our kids did. You can sit at the bar and watch your kids slide thru a tube that goes in front of the bar, so cool. Breakfast was delicious. There was even a guy cooking the waffles for you and again kept very clean.

We had a birthday party at the Waterpark for my granddaughter. The event coordinator Dawn was amazing. Always keeping in touch with me in setting up the event. Everything went perfect! All the staff were so helpful. Our room was comfortable, clean, and convenient. Thank all of you at Watiki for making this event a memorable one. 🫶
