Kuleana Resort

This place is in a great location and has a very small private beach if the ocean is calm. The grounds are immaculate and the ocean front tiki lamps are very cool. The pool was warm and quite large, very quiet and chill atmosphere. Our unit was nice however the single A/C in the bedroom makes the remaining living space uncomfortable during high outside temperatures. The place needs a deep cleaning but otherwise I would definitely come back and stay. Great staff and onsite maintenance.

Kuleana Resort is a great spot with lovely views of the ocean. One of the highlights is being able to observe sea turtles almost all day—sometimes they even come up on the sand to rest, which is an amazing sight. If you’re looking for a traditional beach to swim or sunbathe, this isn’t the place for that. The rooms are well-equipped with everything you need to cook your own meals, making it very convenient for longer stays. It is a bit on the pricey side, but the experience of seeing sea turtles so close and enjoying the peaceful surroundings makes it worth it. I would definitely recommend it.

I would give a 4.5 star if that was an option. The location is amazing. Our ground level unit faces west and had an incredible sunset. Also this is very close to many of the best snorkeling beaches. You can also swim and snorkel at the beach on the property itself as well. We saw tons of sea turtles there. As for why I don’t think it is a full five star is the unit is very outdated. I suppose most of water front buildings were build in 60s and 70s.
