Kozy Kampers RV Park-Storage

I stayed there 45 years ago. It's been there this whole time. Its sad that the rating is so low. Its not near the beach or anywhere near downtown. Some people who reviewed this place probably didn't stay here. Then they also didn't give enough stars. Bad on top of untrue. Smh

Not much good to say. Small cramped campground. We were stuck on a strip of blacktop "overnight pull-throughs" that were barely wide enough with slides out. We were there more than a week. Our door looked directly into our neighbor's dinette window about 2 feet away. Yes, land in Ft Lauderdale is expensive and they were maximizing the number of RVs they could accommodate. ||One bright spot: Alejandro, maintenance man, brought us a picnic table after I asked for one at the front desk.||Unusual laundry room. You have to either buy a card from a machine and load money on it (card costs $5), or download an app and load money with your credit card. I’ve been staying here since May 2021. The neighborhood is super chill, I’m probably the youngest person in the entire park. But it’s very neighborly and people are very helpful. Water pressure is great. The power is only gone out one time because two trailers away from me got struck by lightning. During hurricane season, it gets doesn’t get super bad. The RV park does flood but at maximum about 2 to 3 inches. I have a long-term lease and the rent has gone up, But drastically cheaper than a studio or one bedroom apartment in the area. Perfectly located between the turnpike and I-95. Plus, the bus route is extremely close to the park, If you take public transit. I lived here in a long term site, for almost 2 years. If you are a finicky or high maintenance person, do NOT stay here. If you come with reasonable expectations, you will have an enjoyable stay. Dee, the manager, is a reasonable person; if you are respectful, she will treat you well. This is located in the heart of Fort Lauderdale; like most of south Florida it has crime, noise, and traffic issues. A tradeoff of being close to the beach and hip vacation areas. The prices here are high, but less than ANY comparable RV park in the area. Each site has water, electric, and sewage hookups. There are also bathrooms and a community Rec. room. Very nice and cozy place to stay while vacationing in Fort Lauderdale. Prices are fair and the storage is very useful. Staff and Maintenance employees are very helpful. Most of the lots are a nice size and many are shaded with mature trees. People are very friendly. Showers, Restrooms and Laundry facilities are very clean and updated. Great location, Bank, Gas, Publix Pharmacy, groceries and liquor close by.
