Kohl's Resort

Pretty solid place. Cabins and rooms are a bit dated, but not terribly. The drive into the sides is very nice, the lake is nice and calm, and the environment is very peaceful. Has an indoor pool, outdoor hot tub, And not super busy in the fall. We will definitely be coming back!

Stayed here during June 2025. Perfect place for a chill lakeside getaway. Lots of amenities and fun things, our 8 year old daughter loved it. We were here when the large storm hit and the owners handled everything as best they could and looked after us guests amazingly well. If we went back to Bemidji would definitely return.

We’ve been coming here for years, and every trip feels like stepping back into a place where time slows down and joy lives in the little things. This year, we almost didn’t make it, but we were lucky enough to sneak in a week, and it reminded us why this place means so much. From the familiar laughter on the docks to the warmth of the staff who feel like lifelong friends, every moment here feels like coming home. The lodging is cozy, the activities bring out the kid in all of us, and the memories we make here stay with us long after we leave. We had the best stay at Kohl’s Resort in Bemidji. It was a beautiful weekend on Big Turtle Lake. It is family run with great amenities. We visit our family close by. So nice to have a lovely stay and visit those we love.

Amazing place to stay, relax and play. We had a fantastic family trip and the resort had all the things we needed to make our stay comfortable. The kitchen is stocked well, the provided soaps smell amazing (lavender eucalyptus), and they have really fun beach water toys and the pool area is fun for chilly mornings. Cabin 9 was awesome and a great size for our family of 3, which could have easily held another 2 kids. The ice cream in the lodge was delicious plus the food they sell is really great too - pizzas, cheese curds, chicken strips, deep fried pickles, and fried fish were ALL amazing. Tie-dye, the park, and minnow races were a huge hit and made the experience so much more fun. What could they improve on? I wish they offered a few more wash cloths in the room - we only had one. O
