Kingston Plantation Condos

My wife and I arrived on Christmas Day and stayed for the weekend (3 nights) After check-in at the Embassy Suites building our condo was #1720 in North Tower. I loved the fact that the $300 deposit can be used to cover the parking, as well as Room Service. That's right, we had a pizza delivered to the room at 9pm on Christmas. The 78 Fitness is an added bonus included in the resort fee, a very nice workout facility with indoor pool. The hidden bonus was the indoor heated pool and hot tub located in our building. For a $20 deposit you can get a pool pass from the building manager. The overall building and Condo were very nice. Condo was 2 bedroom and 2 full bathrooms, full kitchen and sleeping for 10. Checked in late after an event. Staff ata check in extremely nice. The room however, we have had to sleep with the balcony doors open due to the air conditioner not working(74-75 degrees). Door to room isn't seeled well and the guest gathering in hall way were extremely loud. Not impressed for the price we paid to stay

Positive: The Grounds look wonderful and the water park is great. Negative: The Lodge room we had was very dark and smelled moldy and had old looking furniture. The bed was old and very soft felt worn out . Should have asked for another unit as we were in 117 . Would not stay in the Lodge again but have enjoyed the hotels .

Definite pros and cons at this resort. The area surrounding the condos was beautiful and beach access was wonderful! The condo we rented was spacious, but very outdated and not in the best repair. The sheets/bedding were super uncomfortable, the kitchen was not well stocked and you are expected to bring pretty much everything (extra toilet paper, pool towels, etc). Things were just generally old-the towel rod came off just from gently taking the towel off of it the dishwasher didn't work properly, etc. I think each condo is owned by different people, so from condo to condo the experience might be different--but I don't think we would take our chances here again despite the location being great.

The excellent customer service and compassion of the staff are second to none. The check in experience with Delores was very refreshing after a frustrating 4 hour travel. She was accommodating offering local places that were kid friendly. The very best expert however was Jovan in the restaurant. Our granddaughter is Autistic and has sensory and texture issues. Green apples are one of her favorites but she likes them with no skin|There are no sharp knives on the buffet line. I took the apples to the omelette station and asked for a knife. Jovan took the apples and peels and sliced them for my granddaughter. Grateful and humbled is what I felt. Someone cared enough to go above and beyond to assure my sweet granddaughter ate what she liked. Autism has been a learning experience of
