Kaskaskia River Campground

Did not stay at the campground. I use their boat launch. Water was super super low it's not their fault. Ramp is very small and very rough. But at least they had a ramp that you could use so can't complain too much unless you don't want to ramp at all. Only $2 to launch for boats

This is one of the rivers that feed into Lake Shelbyville, such a lovely place. And the fishing is always great!!!

We went when it opened up this year and right after the sand bar there’s logs down preventing you from continuing down the river to the covered bridge. We had to have a boat come rescue us. Call to make sure that’s been removed because having to be rescued really took away from the fun!!

We tented here for one night during our cross-country bicycle tour. This place has seen better days. Lots of old RVs everywhere, confederate flags galore...no potable water, dirty port-a-potties, no showers. We had no other options at the time, but would not recommend staying here. (This review is in reference to the private RV campground just past the motel and bait shop along the Kaskaskia River.)
