Karla's Hummingbird Ranch

My husband and I came for our wedding anniversary weekend after another Hipcamp host nearby canceled on us last minute with no reason at all for what was our 2nd reservation with them. Karla was very accommodating, friendly, and respectful of our privacy. She even brought us warm cinnamon rolls in the morning after our very first night. The place is nicely maintained, peaceful, and safe. Highly recommend it!!!

Campsite upgrades extraordinaire!! Whether tent camping or simply pulling your rig right up next to your site - get ready for the most super deluxe picnic table, sun shelter, fire-pit and lounge chairs. I loved how the existing setup so amazingly accentuated how I normally “nest” when I land my normal backcountry VanLife spot. A nice change of pace to have so much ‘already done’ when I arrived. Bonus was terrific room in the ranch house my mother was able to enjoy while I van camped at the same location. This really is the perfect spot when traveling with family or friends who need a bit more accommodation than tent or rig space. My mom raved about her room. Added bonuses… Swimming pool area, horses on site, and the most fun nighttime tiki-style lighting throughout the camp. Would be ideal

Cannot say enough good things about Karla! We stayed on her ranch for 2 weeks & while there, I did multiple lessons with Karla & Gucci! She helped me further my abilities & taught me so many new things. Karla is so professional & really makes sure to give high quality service. Not to mention her place is beautiful! If you need lessons, just want to trail ride, or need a place to park your RV for the night (she’s got full hook ups), look no more, this is the place to be!

My daughter receives horse riding lessons from Karla. Karla is a wonderful instructor who makes every lesson fun and full of learning! She has beautiful stables and amazing horses!! We look forward to our lesson each week!

I booked this reservation a week and a half ago. I told Karla what our intentions were and what we expected. We went to camp for my granddaughters 5th birthday party. The birthday princess requested, camping, swimming and hiking for her celebration. I even paid for them to "exercise the horses " Since we were going to be there Easter Sunday I asked permission to have an Easter egg hunt. She texted me the night we made the reservation and gave her permission for the Easter egg hunt, and only that. When we get there Karla informs us that it's too cold to swim and doesn't get warm enough for swimming until June or July. I feel she could and should have told us at the beginning that we weren't going to be able to swim. It was one of the reasons we chose that place; for swimming. We had an issu
