Kahana Villa

Very spacious and nice layout of the place. Convenient to have the full kitchen to save money when not dining out. Also very nice to be within walking distance of the beach. Also nice to have a laundry machine and dryer in the unit. Great they provided pool towels and enough bath towels and bedding linen.||Air conditioner was way too small for the apartment as it was uncomfortably hot. The ceiling fans helped a little. The master bedroom king size bed was very, very uncomfortable as it was too firm. Lastly, be aware of the parking lot at night, german roaches and ants come out by seemingly the thousands. Thankfully, didn’t intrude into the apartment.

I really enjoyed my stay at Kahana Villa. The property is peaceful, very clean, comfortable, and in a great location — just a 4-minute walk from the beach. It’s a perfect place to relax and enjoy Maui’s atmosphere. The only issue I experienced was that I booked a double room but was given a room with only one bed, which made things a bit difficult for us to get settled. Aside from that, I genuinely liked the place and would return if the booking accuracy is improved.

Very clean, very quiet. Everything we needed was in the kitchen - well equipped. BBQ at the pool worked well when we made steaks. Comfortable bed, plenty of free parking. Good a/c (but a bit loud). Across the street from the ocean, rocky beach but lovely. Walkable to several restaurants.

One of the worst stays we’ve experienced We arrived at 6:30 PM to a closed front office and were told to call the after-hours red phone. We called for over 20 minutes with no answer; someone finally responded after nearly 30 minutes, blaming short staffing. The next day, after waking at 3 AM for Haleakalā sunrise, we returned exhausted to extremely loud drilling and construction noise from the apartment next door. Management promised to look into it and never followed up. We had to personally intervene. We were traveling with my 80-year-old MIL, who had just completed a 13-hour flight from Philadelphia. We were thrilled by our good fortune when we stepped in to get such a nice place at the price we paid. Rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. Kitchen was modern and well-equipped. Our room contained a washer, dryer, and detergent (no coins or cards required, yay!). The beautiful beach and public park was across the street. Snorkel rentals and convenience stores were within a couple-minute walk away. Our room had sliding doors that opened to a beautiful grass courtyard with trees. The pool and hot tub were clean and well-maintained. We have no complaints, other than I think they should provide hoses to wash sand off your feet after returning from the beach across the street.
