Musty and a little creepy. Porch was falling apart. No staff was there so we couldn't get in our room until the owner's son happened by and sort of guessed which room was ours. The room itself was clean. In the morning we'd been locked out of the communal bathroom and the owner never responded. There was no promised breakfast. We were so happy to get out of there.
If you’re looking for simple, inexpensive, cozy/comfortable, and clean accommodation in an extremely chill place with much more than ample common space and delicious free coffee, I defy you to find a better deal. The most surprising thing about this place, especially coming from Baltimore, is how utterly relaxed and carefree everything is about it. The front doors are always open (rooms have locks and keys) the WiFi is free, lots of nature, hiking and good local food nearby. I will definitely come back. It’s 5.5 hours from my home, in Baltimore, but I’m already planning my next trip. If you need to do creative work in place where you can relax and concentrate, look no further. Utterly charming. TLDR; excellent value (my room was ~$55/night), charming. This shouldn’t have to be said, but
Comfortable and clean. Quiet. Bed was super comfy. Slept like a log. Coffee in the morning was extra good!
Under going renovations I did not stay there but did look around Hopefully will have clean fresh look when done Seems to be a historic building?
An amazing place, great community area on the main floor, and really friendly owners.
