JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes

My stay at the JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes was enjoyable overall, but there was a significant issue that needs to be addressed. The property itself is beautiful, the pool area is fantastic, and the food at the restaurants was excellent. The resort has a great atmosphere, and much of the staff we encountered were friendly and professional. However, I was very disappointed to see non-service animals inside two of the restaurants, including sitting on the bench seating where guests dine. Under Florida law (509.233), animals are not permitted in restaurants unless they are legitimate service animals. Seeing this in a resort of this caliber was surprising and concerning. We recently stayed at the JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes for one night before departing on a cruise. Unfortunately, our experience afterward was extremely disappointing and not at all what we expected from a luxury resort of this caliber. About 15 minutes after checking out, we realized we had accidentally left our stroller in the closet of our room. My husband immediately called the bell desk and explained the situation. We were assured that someone would retrieve the stroller and either hold it for us or deliver it to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes (right across the property) when we returned from our cruise the following week. So many reasons to love this property, every detail is attended to. The staff are amazing and friendly professionals. Andrea, Paola and Travis at the front desk stand it for their kindness. J.P. and the Ritz Carlton pool went it if his way to be helpful. And Chad from the bell stand who has taken care of my bellman needs over 15 years. I've been staying at this property since 2005 and I dream of returning.

We had two rooms and stayed for one night on Dec 31st and one night on Jan 3rd. We were visiting family and Universal Studios which is a 20-25 min drive. ||Everything was exactly as we expected. Checkin as fast, the rooms were near each other as requested, the bed was comfortable and the hallways was quiet given we were there on a holiday. ||We ordered room service and the meals were basic but we enjoyed them at a typical hotel room service rate. ||We have stayed at the JW Marriott before the remodel and we have stayed at the adjoining Ritz. If I were here to enjoy the pools or the restaurants I would stay at the Ritz. Our rooms were approx $600 per night /per room and I find that a good value for the class of hotel.

This place has been a dream. Every staff member was extremely nice, helpful and welcoming. The amenities were great. Property is beautiful. The beds are heaven. We hosted a business event, as well and the event staff were just top notch. I hope we come back here next year. 💜💜👏👏
