Joseph Ambler Inn was phenomenal. We stayed there when we attended a funeral nearby. The Inn was perfect. We loved the dining room meal and the breakfast. The grounds were beautiful and we loved the historic buildings. We recommend it to everyone.

The Joseph Ambler (Inn &) Restaurant was recommended to us by a local funeral home (Scanlin & McDonald) as a locally owned restaurant known for its food and service, and it did not disappoint. We just hosted a local funeral and most everyone came from out of town. The menu shared by Jamie, booked by Bridget, and served by Colleen, was then out-done by the chef's wonderful buffet selection of Parmesan Crusted Chicken Breast and Sirloin Strip Steak. No one was disappointed and everyone was pleasantly surprised. Thank you to the staff who made our difficult day a lot easier to take!

We went for a holiday dinner. Food was great and servers were friendly and excellent. The restaurant had been renovated since we were there last. Very nice.

Jan 2, 2026 We recently had a funeral reception here and everything was perfect. Colleen was extremely helpful and communicative throughout our visit. Buffet style food was excellent, especially the salmon! Leftovers were neatly packaged for us to take home. Entire room was clean and decorated, tables spaced in a way that was comfortable to speak with all of our guests. Thank you very much for your attention to detail and kindness!
