Johnny's Motel

We were just passing through and needed a good nights sleep after a long day of travels. We read the reviews and decided to give this place a try. WOW! Are we ever glad we did. The room was absolutely fabulous, cozy, clean and comfortable. I won't lie, I didn't expect it to be this great inside. Very impressed and highly recommend. Amazing value.

Good location off the highway. Very clean well kept grounds , nice area to sit and relax behind each room. Rooms are good size and clean

Grand Forks is a small town that if you blink as you go through, you might miss it. There is a cute little place called Johnny's Motel at the end of town. I was going to be driving through Grand Forks and Johnny's Motel was a perfect place to stop for the night. The previous reviews of "make-over" of this motel are absolutely accurate. Johnny's Motel is located right on the river and is so peaceful. The front of the units look somewhat dated, but COMPLETELY different opposite inside. I opened the room door and was so happy!! A VERY clean and modernized room to relax in after a long day of travel!! The bathroom was spacious, super comfortable bed and a Bistro type table in the room. Oh my gosh, Johnny's Motel was THE BEST!!! So easy to find just off the highway, while the rooms feel so far from the busyness of the roads! The rooms look out at a bit of lawn and the the river. And being a 'pet-friendly' motel, my two cats absolutely loved that they had a full glass sliding door to look out from. So many motels along our cross-country trip has inaccessible windows and Johnny's Motel was above and beyond perfect! The room was so nicely laid out with tallboy dresser and two bedside tables with drawers. The kitchenette had everything I could possibly want or need - toaster oven, kettle, small hotplate, pots, plates, cutlery, cups.....! Great surprise on our road trip! We stopped here last minute and were really impressed. The price was affordable, check-in was easy, and the room was spotless and very well kept. The value for the price was far above our expectations. A very pleasant stay — this motel will definitely be our first choice whenever we travel this route again.
