John Hall's Alaskan Lodge

A hidden gem!!!! My husband booked us the room and I was unsure at first but it was so clean, well kept and cozy. I wish we stayed longer than one night! The office staff was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was excellent! The only challenge was that we got in late and were hoping to pick up some dinner but almost all of the restaurants in town closed at 9.

I cannot say enough good things about our stay at John Hall’s Alaska Lodge, even if it was just for one quick night! We had a late arrival in a superior suite and the staff were so kind to keep me updated on how to get into my room upon arrival. After arriving from a long flight, my 6’4” was able to actually use the whirlpool tub in the room! The photos online really don’t do the rooms justice, they’re very clean and spacious! The morning was perfect with great coffee in the room and a nice relaxing moment on the balcony taking in the view of the lake. It was a more incredible stay than I ever could have expected, I’ll certainly be back for longer next year when I come for a trip!

What a nice end to a long travel day. We spend the previous 2 days on the road, so we were relieved to arrive here. The porch has a spectacular view of Lake Pepin and the front porch is quaint and fun. The other guests were all friendly. |The suite is roomy with a nice kitchen and full-sized frig. The shower is oversize and the bed is comfy. The lodge is clean, and Debbie and her staff are so nice and welcoming.

I’m in Lake City for a family reunion, and while most of my family is camping at Hok-Si-La Park, my dad booked me a room here knowing I’d need easy access to a restroom—and I’m so glad he did! John Hall’s Alaskan Lodge is small, cozy, and just a couple minutes from the campground. The view from right outside my door is beautiful—Lake Pepin is literally just steps away. The person who checked me in was so kind and welcoming, which really made me feel at ease. It’s not a luxury stay, but it’s clean, comfortable, affordable, and exactly what I need. I’m not spending my trip in the room—I just needed something peaceful, convenient, and close to my family. This place is perfect for that. So far, it’s been a great stay.

My sister and I were very happy with our room. Comfortable beds, plenty of pillows, nice decore and we had everything we needed. Sitting out front on the veranda with a lovely view of Lake Pepin was just so relaxing! Our stay was during the week, so it was quiet. I would imagine weekends are busier. Staff at checkin and checkout were attentive and quick to process everything for us. We will certainly stay again!
