Across from Lake Pepin - quick drive to several restaurants and the National Eagle Center in Wabasha. Good for families with children. The free breakfast had something for everyone. The staff is wonderful and accommodating. Next time we will reserve one of the balcony rooms.

We talked to front desk staff upon arrival yesterday about being on the first floor. We did not realize there is no elevator (guess that’s on us, admittedly). My husband can’t do stairs well after knee surgery. Was told no, we were assigned a room upstairs, and to ask front desk staff early morning about possibly moving. Did that, and was told to check with the manager mid-morning. Manager stated that since we pre-paid through a 3rd party system, they couldn’t help. Say, what? This place is NOT full. We walked past first level rooms that you can see into from the outside windows from the outside, and there are definitely vacancies. Nobody cared AT ALL to try to accommodate us. Apparently customer service goes out the window if you don’t book directly with AmericInn.

Everything was very clean, and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was well stocked. I liked how everything was individually wrapped. The waffle maker was a hit with the kids. Nice lakeside restaurant across the street. The pool was clean and the kids enjoyed it. Rooms and accommodations were appropriate for the price point.

The facility was very clean, both the common areas and my guest room. The staff are all friendly and attentive. The parking spaces were slightly wider than usual, making it easier to get in and out of cars without dinging or scratching doors. Everything in my guest room functioned ok, but I wish there were electric outlets on both sides of the bed so that we could both plug in our CPAP and charge our phone on our side of the bed instead of all plugs being on one side of the bed. The breakfast was fine.

Positive: "" Negative: We did not get the room we paid for and booked. We were supposed to have a deluxe room with a lake view snd instead had a view of a retaining wall. When asked if we could switch rooms to the one we had reserved, they said there wasn't any available.
