JG's Campen Life RV Campground

We have been staying here since November of 2025. We are about to leave and I had to make sure to write a thorough review. JG's is a great place for long work stays and easy get away trips. Just outside of Cullman allows you a quiet spot on a hill with a great view. The clubhouse offers supplies if needed so you do not need to run to town, but if you do a quick 15 minute drive gets you to restaurants and stores. While currently still putting finishing touches on the campground, the owners are responsive and willing to make sure every stay is a relaxing get away. It is gated, so it is nice especially while I work to know only those who are supposed to be here are. Stayed overnight in January while visiting friends at Smith Lake. Tina greeted us warmly with a gift bag which included dog biscuits for our dog. GW, one of the owners, escorted us to our campsite. Noticed right away the water hook up had insulation and heaters around them and there was wood in the fire pit. We talked with GW a while and he was very friendly and passionate about the campground. They are still working on the grounds but the sites are pull through and level. The electric worked great. The shower facility was like being at home. Beautifully decorated and there was even a bath mat. Hot water poured out of the generous shower head. My boyfriend and I only got to stay for one night, but we truly wish it could have been longer! From the moment we arrived, it was clear how much thought and care went into this property. The views are absolutely beautiful, the amenities are plentiful, and everything feels so well planned and inviting. The owners were some of the nicest people we’ve ever met. They were incredibly helpful with directions (we may have gotten turned around a couple of times since it’s a bit secluded and we arrived after dark), and they made the whole experience feel welcoming and stress-free. Even in just one night, we could tell this is a special place. We would absolutely stay here again if we’re ever back in Alabama!

We stayed in their Airbnb camper for 6 nights and loved it! GW & Jenny are great hosts and truly thought of everything in their beautiful new campground and we enjoyed talking with them! We have the itch for a camper of our own now and if we do get one, we will most definitely keep it there while in area (if they don’t fill up before then!) The temps plummeted during beginning of our stay and we came back from Christmas shopping to find a brand new heated blanket and space heater waiting for us on the steps! Talk about great hosts that made sure we stayed comfortable!! I would highly recommend their campground to anyone as you will not be disappointed! It is clean, safe and has so many wonderful amenities. I cannot wait to see how the grounds blossom in the coming seasons!

Absolutely loved our stay here! This is a brand-new campground and you can tell the owners have put their hearts into it. Everything is spotless, peaceful, and beautifully set up. The owners are some of the friendliest people you’ll ever meet — they truly make you feel like family. Our site was level, easy to access, and perfect for relaxing. We can’t wait to come back and watch this place grow. Highly recommend supporting this amazing new campground! 🌲🔥
