Jay Peak Resort, State Side Base

In my opinion one of the best mountains in the east! Definitely has some of the best glades out there. They get so much snow every season . This place is heaven on earth for skiers and snowboarders!

Our stay started off on the wrong foot. This hotel is quite confusing if you’ve never been here before—there are two separate entrances and several condo-style buildings in between, and Google Maps actually directed us to the wrong Jay Peak property. GPS took us to the Jay Peak Resort, our reservation was for the Jay Peak State Side. When we finally arrived and checked in, the room had a strong chemical odor, as if a deep carpet cleaning had just been done. When we called the front desk, they confirmed that was indeed the case. We asked to change rooms but were told the hotel was at full capacity. The staff offered a condo alternative, but after a six-hour drive, we were too exhausted to repack and move again, so we decided to stay and opened the windows to air the room out. To make matt

Everything about this mountain impressed. Great shuttle service. Frictionless acquisition of lift pass, and rentals. Reasonable lines for lifts. Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff. Great amenities - cafeteria, restaurant, bar, coffee shop, outside fire pit, spa, arcade, indoor water park! Great runs (favorable mountain conditions definitely helped). In all, a great first experience at Jay.

I've been skiing here for 10+ years off and on and it still remains some of my favorite terrain on the east coast. Only problem tip: get there earlier than you think you need to for decent parking.
