Islander Hotel & Resort

My bf and I stayed here for one night. It was very easy check in, great service, and a very nice room. Overall I enjoyed my stay. However, the AC unit in the room was very loud and turned off and on frequently which kept us awake. Also, I do not think the floors were very clean. Before going to the beach there was sand in the bed, and on the floor. Overall it was good location and nice hotel.

Quite disappointing. First, we had to wait 1 hour before seeing someone at the Front Desk, and the same when calling. We left messages as requested, but never had a return call or answer. I called for a blanket, left 2 messages on their voicemail, and never received the blanket or a return call. There is only a refrigerator, a microwave, and a little plastic coffee maker with foam cups, and a note saying to call the front desk if you want more coffee, sugar, or wooden sticks, but they NEVER answered. No extra blanket for the bed, which comes with a thin duvet and a sheet, so it can be chilly, and the sofa bed does not have a blanket, so it is useless. All in all, it was a disappointing experience.

Positive: Location is great and the property is beautiful! Negative: The mattresses need to be replaced and no one came to give us clean towels or tidy up. We were there Thursday thru Sunday.

My team and I stayed at 119 on the beach. My team were in 911 work mode. Flip that 119. Universe BLESSED ALL OF US because if The Islander didnt come through I cont know where we all would be. The Islander Hotel was the perfect venue for our wedding! We wanted a beachfront wedding, and we were very excited to have the ceremony, reception, and rooms all in one place. We were even able to have our rehearsal on the beach and the rehearsal dinner in the conference room. Carol was our coordinator, and she was there for everything, from the first meeting to the day of the wedding, coordinating all the decorations. We enjoyed a beautiful bridal suite that we used the night before and the night of the wedding, as well as to get ready on the day of. We loved having an ocean view and a spacious area to spread out! Our bartenders were amazing; they had drinks ready in hand as we approached the bar and kept the party going until the very end. The venue was spacious and included chairs, tabl
