Island Suites

First off, nothing wrong with the room, clean well maintained and had a functional kitchenette. The service was excellent, the mattress wasnt garbage and the continental breakfast was well above average. Booked through the hotel, price we paid was the price we were quoted and the deposits were returned promptly. Staff was polite and helpful and the amenities were all stocked up, early check in was uncomplicated and fair ($25) A/C worked and there were no "hotel smells". One of the most pleasant hotels stays we've had in a while.

The room was clean and quiet. Nice size. Our room featured a king bed, refrigerator, microwave and a shower with a tub. The hot tub area was nice as well. The staff were very friendly and pleasant, room rates were very reasonable. I will definitely stay here again.

The reason for the two stars is because we stayed here a couple of years ago and everything was great! This time though we didn't get any rest because the mattress was not comfortable at all and the living area furniture was just as bad! We tried watching TV the first night and found that two occasional chair in the room was like sitting on a piece of lumber with material over the top. Also the bed was so uncomfortable that we both walked away with extreme back aches. If it weren't for the furnishings being very used (as if they bought them used). This would be a great hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a continental breakfast with good choices and we love the price and location. I guess you get what you pay for. 😕

The staff here is so nice which is why we gave this place a 3 and it was clean for being an older hotel and even though yhe pool is very small and has no ambiance because it is surrounded by concrete wr. Iron fence and basically in the parking lot with no plants or anything to make you feel like you are not actually swimming in the parking lot. Also a nice outside seating area would of been nice since guests were smoking in the parking lot right next to our car and it could also be smelled by the pool. However, the absolute worse thing was the beds that were so bad they were like torture! It will take month with my chiropractor to get straightened back out!
