Iris Motel

Nice renovated room to stay in. I plan to stay for quite some time. My room has white walls with grey, white and blue bedding. Good color scheme and wonderfully bug free. Worth every day spent so far. Water heater has been fixed for months now and it works very well. Not had any problems with it.

Due to bad weather one of my coworkers and i weren't able to go home after work. She and I were apprehensive about staying there due to theor reputation in the past. Considering it was the closest place to work and a recent remodel, we gave it a try. We were pleasantly surprised. The rooms have been updated and remodeled. They currently only have a few rooms in service at this time. The staff was friendly and even gave us a discounted rate because of our circumstances.

we stayed at the Iris Motel in Mt. Pleasant, IA on Dec.31st 2014 When we first got into the room it was ice cold. The bed was unmade, the vent in the bathroom ceiling was coming out, there were hairs in the bathtub, the stopper for the bathtub did not work, the t.v.remote did not work. The heat eventually came on and the manager did replace the broken remote with a working one but our overall experience was horrible. When we went to check out around 9 am Jan. 1st, 2015 management was still not in the office so I had no one to complain to, Also the microwave was unclean. ZERO STARS!!!!!!!!!

still recovering from the mold. open outlets, toilet barely worked, tub didn't drain well. carpet was awful. door & frame was broken. at least the air conditioner and the TV worked.

The Iris Motel was THE place to stay in Mt. Pleasant for many years. It is now a place you would not want to stay. The restaurant is gone, the rooms are not clean, the housekeeping is non-existent and it is just run down.
