Interstate RV Park

We stayed here do to only place open year round. Many dead trees. This particular tree had large broken branch . Ready to fall on either my trailer or my neighbors trailer. First interaction with staff was not very pleasant. But maybe they had a bad day because it got much more friendly. (One particular staff member)The snow removal was pretty much nonexistent. The roads were literally glare ice once vehicles drove on it. Definitely some very friendly people but also lots of yelling and screaming in other trailers. I believe many of the rvs were permanent residents. Proximity to gas and highway 80 was great. I guess we don’t understand the “good San” rating system. I do believe the need to reevaluate this system. And not just for this location. We have learned to not trust it what so ever.

Jenny at the front desk was a delight. 😁 Very friendly and professional and helpful. Check in was very easy. The campground itself is fine for a “turn and burn” kind of crash for a night when passing through kind of situation. Quiet. LOTS of very run down full time old campers there with piles of garbage surrounding their campers and such. There was even a full time run down pop up camper. It didn’t necessarily feel unsafe or anything just kind of icky. Definitely not a place I’d let kids run free or anything. No designated place for dogs. At $63/night I thought kind of pricey for what it was. |I might stay here again if I had to but, if I could find somewhere else a little nicer, I would.

If you want a hot shower at 5 am don't plan on it. Heater will be set at 78 in the bath room so you'll be warm when you get out, but the water will be cold. Pretty sure your pee will be hotter than the water at 5 am

I definitely wish I would have checked reviews before we booked 3 spots here. Whatever you do, STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE! We booked 3 spots for the weekend of July 11th. There was a very bad storm. And the campground lost power the first night at around 5pm. We had no power still the next day at 2pm. I spoke with the workers and asked if we could be refunded for one day because it was way to hot out and we would not be able to stay any longer without access to air conditioning or being able to run anything else in our campers. We had dogs, a pregnant woman and a diabetic in our party and didn’t feel comfortable staying any longer, 1 of the camper’s refrigerator also only ran on electric so we were not able to keep all that food cold much longer. I feel $60 was extremely high for an over night stop!!! We needed a night stop and this is what my husband picked…. Most likely, not what I will pick again. The lady left before she made sure the site worked for us or not. It didn’t!!! The hook ups are in the middle of the site!!! We had to drive our camper towards the end, just to get hook ups. The table was dangerous for my kids…. Needs some major work!!
