Hampton Inn & Suites Davenport

Stayed at this facility for 5 nights on an official tour. Very nice and clean. Balances buffet breakfast. Location is perfect. You can walk to some of the best restaurants in town. Two unusual things, 1. A card for tip to the housekeeping staff. I could not succeed because of app issues. 2. Bathroom door mat/thick towel was missing from next day.

A disappointing stay. This was the bottom of the barrel for Hampton Inns. Not sure how it got a 4.5 rating. As for Hampton Inns it would rate a 1, but I like Hampton Inns in general, so . . . The issues: The room needs updating. The bathtub looks to be from the 80's with its shower curtain. The room lacked outlets to charge and power today's electronics - only one outlet open between the two queen beds, so charged my electronics in an outlet next to the foot of the bed. As for the bed, I am not a fan of Hampton Inn's mattresses; they are soft. These were very soft and when I sunk in, it felt like I bottomed out - no further give, just a firm and unresponsive. AVOID staying here until the motel/hotel gets complete makeover.

Positive: "" Negative: Ants! The room was crawling with ants and I got very little sleep because they were in the bed crawling on me. I did not realize it until the next morning when I got up.

This is our 6th evening here at Hampton as we are visiting family and friends for the holidays. I have nothing but GREAT things to say about this hotel! Starting with the top notch customer service at the front desk. Our suite was IMMACULATE. The look and feel of the interior was cozy- classy. The curtains and window coverings were of high quality - which just makes a long stay that much more comfortable. The breakfast was EXCELLENT! Every single employee at this hotel went above and beyond! I even overhead the breakfast chef make the bacon crispier for an older gentlemen/nice grandpa. There was delicious hot chocolate, cookies, tea and coffee available 24/7. One of the best things was the LOCATION! I walked to the restaurants we dined at. Overall, it was a very good experience for an overnight stay while traveling across the country. The staff were super professional and accommodating! Pet stay fee is a bit high. Always like the free breakfast at Hampton Inn. Plenty of nearby restaurants with a good variety pf options.
