Inn at Schoppee Farm

Traveled for work and stayed at the inn for six days. It was perfect for business travelers—thoughtful accommodations and a peaceful atmosphere. The view was stunning! Don’t miss the Sunrise Trail, and be sure to eat at West Branch Farm. Helen’s had the best pies I’ve ever had!

I am a frequent traveler who usually stays at mid-level chain hotels, though I occasionally venture to boutique properties when given the chance. My first stay at The Inn at Schoppee Farm was exactly what I was looking for!! The king bed in the River Room was very comfortable, and the room was extremely clean! Simple, rustic elegance and a few high-end touches made my stay relaxing and restful. The hosts are definitely paying attention to the details - mints, bottled water, soaps - even the towels were laundered with a nicely-scented detergent. What made the 2-night stay really remarkable was how "at-home" I was able to feel in such a short time on my first night and the relative solitude I felt, looking over the river and watching the geese outside my door. The Inn is so quaint and scenery is beautiful! |We had the Little Falls room with a king bed that was super comfortable. Great views from all of our windows. |We had a refrigerator in our room along with a microwave. That’s a plus especially for people who drink a lot of water and need to stock up. |Love the keyless entry just keep your outdoor light off in summer because it’s a big fest lol. They provide enough lighting to get into room. |Another great way to spend your time having fun is renting an ATV from Down East who also happen to be the owners of the Inn. There is an 87 mile trail that runs right by the Inn. |Room was really clean and had towels, hair dryer, Keurig, iron with board. |When we visit again we will most definitely stay at the Inn at Schoppee Farms! |

Look no further. The Inn at Schoppee Farm is the perfect coastal Maine getaway. My family and I stayed in the Eagle’s Nest apartment. It was clean, well decorated, and had everything we needed. The kitchen is fully stocked and laundry is on site as well. We loved the openness of the space and the huge windows overlooking the water. We enjoyed evenings outside by the fire and checking out local spots within walking distance of the farm. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

I've stayed here twice now while doing work in the area, and I can't recommend it enough. The rooms are cozy, clean and full of thoughtful touches such as a handwritten welcome letter that includes the temperature forecast for your stay and a snack and water waiting for you upon arrival. Not to mention the lovely view of the river -- a great spot for sunrise/sunset! The inn is located steps away from a river front trail, which I'm sure would be lovely during warmer days (I've only stayed in the winter). Definitely worth the visit if you need a place to stay in Machias!
