Inn at Perkins Cove (formerly Hartwell House Inn)

Gouged on price for the value! Not even a clock or bottle of water in the room! Poor lighting in the parking lot and rear entrance. The rear entrance granite steps lacked a hand rail! You will get sued big time if someone has a fall there. Even worse nobody on site in the event of an accident. A handicapped nightmare! Poor security doors. I could go on…The town should shut you down.

I was hoping to write a positive review but unfortunately not. We stayed at the Inn at Perkins Cove a month ago. When we booked they had a special, stay for 2 nights and get the 3rd free. We were excited about the special! We noticed when we confirmed our reservation no discount was applied. When we went to check out and the final payment was charged, there was still no discount. I spoke with the staff at the hotel the day of check out twice about the refund and I was told it was being sent to the business manager and being worked on. Here we are a month later, I've sent texts, called multiple times and now have sent three emails to the business manager with no response. I do not recommend staying here because heaven forbid you get mischarged or your bill is not correct, it will not get re

We stayed in a newly renovated room. The most expensive in the place. It was upstairs but we had to walk up an outside stairway. Unfortunately the trash was stored under the stairs and under our deck. So we didn’t use the each due to the odor. The weather was beautiful so I wanted to sit outside for breakfast. The staff told us we could not. As a guest at the inn we had to have our breakfast inside. The outdoor patio was for walk ins. Also I happened to look at the webpage and saw a fall special. Stay 2 nights get the third free. We spoke with the inn keeper since we were staying 3 nights and they would not honor the fall special. We are long term customers and always enjoyed it. Inn at Perkins Cove was an excellent choice for a little getaway. The innkeeper provided everything we needed. The room was very clean and charming. The entire Inn was beautifully decorated for the Holiday season. Breakfast was delicious every day. Coffee/tea available all day along with an afternoon snack.

This was our 5th stay and we were once again reminded why we keep coming back. Katie and Janet were wonderful keepers of the Inn, as were the serving staff from the restaurant. Immaculate accommodations, very attentive staff and great location. Plan to be back next year for visit #6!
