Inn at 161

This is our third year visiting the hotel. We love the owner and the assistant on site. Both are so accommodating and full of recommendations for places to go. The room we stay in is very well appointed and has everything a person would need. The continental breakfast in the morning has a large selection and is very good. I love the cappuccinos. The location is very central to Sutter Creek with lots of restaurants within walking distance, great shopping, wine tasting rooms etc. I love to explore and there are a lot of areas to go for a run or walk. We will return next year. Love the place.

Nice clean large rooms but rooms are not sound proffered. Could hear conversations and tv from neighbors. Breakfast was just ok. Other nice coffee houses in the area.

First impression: On arrival we received a warm greeting by the host. Our room was cozy, super clean and the bed was comfy with great pillows. Fireplace was a nice touch and the room smelled like a day spa. Location: Next door to the best little hole in the wall gas station called the “Trading Post” that sells snacks, beverages and an amazing selection of local wines . Right around the corner is downtown where all the shops, tasting rooms, and restaurants are. It’s all walking distance. Although it’s off the main road, it’s in a quiet community. Parking: There are a few private parking spots as well as street parking in front. Rest and relaxation: Our experience would have been better if there was a no kids policy. Really cute place to stay. Spacious rooms and the sheets smell lovely. My only complaint is the road noise so in the future I’d request a room in the back.

Love the Inn at 161. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. All the amenities you could need. Charming clawfoot tub. Walking distance to downtown that creek. Continental breakfast every morning. They even offer a refrigerator in the dining area if you have leftovers you want to save. Checking in with a breeze, checking out even easier. There is a code to the front and back doors so that you can let yourself in and out, and the place is secured. The grounds are beautiful. There were multiple guests staying, and other than at breakfast. I never heard them. So even though we were in close proximity, There was not a lot of noise. I would definitely stay here again. I noticed they even have a larger room with a living room and sofa in case you have a whole family staying together.
