This place is so cozy and welcoming. It’s very clean, and there’s a big field in the back that insists you frolic in it. It’s right next to the river as well, and they’ve got the cutest gazebo out back with comfy seats facing the water and little lights that come on at night. They also put four little red chairs near the water. It’s so flipping cute. Our room has an electric fire place and beautiful big windows. It’s just wonderful. On a 3-day fly fishing trip to the Trinity River, the Indian Creek Lodge (the “ICL”) is a most excellent value for the money. This is the 3rd time I’ve stayed at the ICL to fish the Trinity. My ground-level room was spacious and very comfortable, especially with a very efficient electric heating unit that kept the room nice and warm as the overnight temperatures were dipping. My room had a ceiling-mounted fan that also helped keep the room warm. The ICL definitely caters to fly fishermen because, immediately outside one’s room, there are a pair of sturdy hooks to hang one’s waders to drain/dry. Also provided is a decently-sized, lipped plastic tray so one can remove one’s wading boots and waders without having to make a mess. Since the ICL is conveniently located 35 miles or so west of Red

I will only have my business here. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for there two people that made a horrible night to easy and taking the time to find a solution. Truly loved our stay at this beautiful lodge! Hannah at the front desk was so sweet and helpful. We loved the geese and the occasional view of fish jumping in the Trinity River. It’s comfortable and peaceful.
