IHG Army Hotels Mackintosh Buildings

Just finished BOLC today and my time here has been nothing but amazing. Staff went above and beyond to ensure I was well taken care of. 3rd floor housekeeping staff has done an amazing job the past 4 months. I cannot thank you all enough for everything.

Hotel is located on Fort Gregg-Adams. Very big hotel. The staff is Awesome. Rooms are very clean and spacious. The rooms has a kitchenette with all cookware and silverware. A regular size refrigerator also. There was lots of parking. I was there for my son's AIT Graduation. Very nice trip!!

I stayed for 3 nights for my daughters AIT graduation so it was a perfect location. My daughter enjoyed her visit as well. Friendly staff- All went over and beyond, my room was spotless and comfy- I slept with no problem and I enjoyed the breakfast- many options. I would definitely visit again.

This review specifically pertains to the Mackintosh buildings: To say this stay is the worst lodging experience of my military career with a civilian hotel is a colossal understatement. Due to the building’s location, I would have flooding outside of my room for days on end. The rooms were furnished in the 1960s style and may have been updated once since then. We had to travel half a mile to eat breakfast. There was no gym access and laundry was abysmal. The cleaning staff was categorically atrocious leaving rooms worse than before they “cleaned”. I could tell my carpet was never vacuumed and the laminate was not swept. There was dust on every surface and hanging from the ceiling. This leads me to my next concern the vermin in my room. I had mice droppings and reported it to management. T

I came down to visit my handsome and was able to spend more time than planned. I needed to look for a hotel, and IHG on post had availability on such short notice; I was able to check in early, too, which helped. This hotel is so lovely inside and out. It even had a stovetop and sink, too, which is nice to know for next time. For heads, finding parking after 1600-1700 can be tricky; the parking lot gets filled fast. Also, the lovely lady at the front desk did mention that once I know when I'm coming down again to try to book early because of graduations and holidays, they fill up fast. Everything was damn near perfect. I will sure be coming back soon.
