Holiday Inn Express Building 12015

I recently stayed at this location for my husband’s graduation ceremony & had a great time. The IHG staff was very kind & they take great care of every service member/visitor in the building. You can tell that they enjoy what they do & do it with pride. Every staff member I passed by greeted me with a smile on their face. The dietary department handled the breakfast rush so flawlessly during my time there, ensuring that everyone got what they needed. Housekeeping was fantastic, thank you to Ernestine & the rest of the department!

This excellent rating is for the hotel, room amenities & comfort, location, convenience, breakfast, etc…. Lots of pieces of a hotel stay right??? It is deserved! This is our 2nd stay for Hugh school graduations in our military family. BUT—— WHO IS GOING TO ADDRESS THE PARKING?????? This is clearly an important, very busy location with many guests. It’s a huge lot— why not a garage??? Literally no parking after 8 pm.

It was my first time staying at this IHG and upon walking into the lobby I was amazed at the beautiful decorations for the hoidays. The front desk lobby area and guest lobby was very festive with snowmen, snowflakes, a nutcracker and a tree with backdrop for photos. With it being the largest Holiday Inn in the US, I thought the hallway areas were very clean, as were the rooms. The breakfast in the morning accommodated the large number of guests, and the business area was very helpful in completing assignments. The staff in the morning were very friendly to chat with while getting breakfast and the 24hr access to coffee and tea were great to have, especially in the winter. There are multiple gyms, some a big small and crowded but still nice to have. The laundry rooms were usually open,

I live in Richmond and attended BOLC. I wanted to know if I could stay at the hotel so I don’t have to drive 40 miles every day, so I called ahead of time and asked if I was covered for a room and if there was a distance limit and they said they already had one for me and I was good. The employee at the desk looked over my orders and gave me a room and said I would not have to pay. Then, midway through the course I find out I do not have a room and I owe them $3300 which they charged me for half of without even communicating with me. Apparently there was a 50 mile limit that was never mentioned by anyone even during the brief the hotel manager gave at the beginning of the course. This is one of the most horrible hotels I have ever been, is so massive and some elevators don't work, I have to walk like 10 mins or more to get my car because also the parking lot is super full all the time and is hard to find a parking spot. Another thing that I have to say is the Internet is super slow even directly connected to Ethernet is extremely slow I have never seen an internet speed like this since 2010... Is horrendous. Stay away from this hotel as much as posible
