Hyatt Vacation Club at Coconut Cove

The amenities were great. Wonderful pool and lazy river. The private beach was fantastic and clean. The playground was ok, they closed it for renovations the day we arrived hopefully will be new and exciting once done. Warning, On check in they do make you talk to concierge where they try to sign you up for a 90 minute timeshare presentation. We rented a 2 bedroom. The room was ok at best, several issues and things not working. The tub with jets when we pushed the button to turn them on, the button fell through and was not usable. Looked like a button was never connected. The master bath has 2 separate sections for toilet and shower. The glass enclosed is so crooked that the door cant close and would smash against each other. Stayed for 4 nights and it was wonderful. Free parking which was easy. Every staff member we encountered were so very kind and accommodating. The place was very clean and the grounds were very well kept. I can see where some say the rooms may be outdated, but for us it was fine, clean and spacious. The boat trip to Big Hickory Island was certainly a great time. It is a timeshare place so they do try everything they can to get you to sign up for a “talk”. Would love to return.

Positive: Location, and pool, lazy river area are still very clean and nice. Negative: Upon arrival, our particular room had some small damage (toilet paper holder partially detached from wall) and the floors were dirty, The service level, in terms of fulfilling our requests for replacement room items was ?hit and miss?.

Beautiful property and wonderful pool. What really sets this hotel apart is the amazing staff. Abanob, Caroline and Sam all went the extra mile to ensure we had a comfortable stay and provided gracious customer service. The New Year's Eve party was perfect for our family which included grandparents and grandchildren. Lots of family friend activities to enjoy on property including simulated golf, air hockey, ping pong and mini golf. Our seven year old son already wants to go back just days after our return home, and so do we.

Stayed for four nights at the Hyatt Vacation Club and while it was a fine experience, the little things really dragged it down. I won’t be staying here again. ||First off, be prepared for the “concierge” to pester you multiples times before and during you trip to sit down and talk about what is essentially a timeshare in exchange for a visa gift card. It’s annoying, feels cheap, and isn’t worth it. It’s relentless, and you see them every day passing the main desk. ||Next be aware of the $35/day resort fee that isn’t very clearly stated. This gets tacked on as you check out, again making the customer feel slighted. There’s also no daily maid service (has to be requested, but can’t be day-of), the Lazy River was closed while we were there, and we were woken up by screaming twice (once a mot
