Hyatt Place Rapid City / Downtown

When I booked this hotel, we just wanted a clean, comfortable room for our exploration of South Dakota. We recieved a clean, comfortable room and more. This is a lovely hotel with a great staff. We stayed in August and they had only been open a few months. We had a few issues with our stay, but they were always handled with a smile and care. One the front desk staff even offered me some of the “fry bread” that she had made that morning. We stayed for 5 nights and every single member at the front desk was wonderful. The property is new, so the rooms, beds, linens and all items in the room were great. I always ask for a high floor, quiet room, so we had a nice view of the Stockmen's Association Neon sign - this sounds bad - but it was very cool and we enjoyed it. There are tons of restaurant

Our stay was great. Rooms were beautiful, lobby very pleasant, fair rate. My friends wanted to see what life in the Black Hills was like. They are from New York, so a hotel like the HYATT was a familiar comfort for them. We all felt the location was ideal for walking around the downtown area, and then getting around the Black Hills. The parking garage was $15 a day, and great to have the convenience, though during this time of the year, it wasn't hard finding parking on the street. Breakfast there was $8 with lots of variety and well done. Overall, the hotel was a very positive experience.

Nice stay with reasonable prices.Service is not good cause when i requested my room to be made up n they forgot .and mentioned that they are unable to do anything as the housekeeping team is in a rush as there is too many check ins todday

In the heart of downtown & so walkable everywhere. The breakfast layout is the best I have seen @ a hotel. The breakfast & dinner were both good. The exercise room faces the street so it was fun to watch what was going by outside & easier to exercise longer. They have free afternoon homemade cookies. The layout of this hotel was well thought out as well as the rooms.

We had a wonderful time in Rapid City visiting the nearby sights. So glad we stayed at the Hyatt Place for five nights! The hotel is brand new, clean, well appointed and conveniently located, within walking distance of many nearby good restaurants. Our accommodations were spacious, thoughtfully designed and very comfortable. Parking was only $15 a night in a connected indoor garage. Although we didn’t have breakfast in the hotel, the breakfast buffet is ample and well presented with appealing choices. Service at the hotel, from the front desk reception to housekeeping was friendly and attentive. All in all, highly recommend the Hyatt Place!
