Hyatt Place Kent Narrows & Marina

I stayed two nights at this hotel for a retreat. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a nice mix of hot and cold food. Some items "ran out" and had to be replenished, so there was a brief wait for that. The coffee cups are too small IMO. The lobby has a bar and lots of areas to sit, talk, and enjoy activities. In nicer weather, there's a deck overlooking the water to enjoy. It's a beautiful setting, but there's not much to do in the immediate area unless you have a boat.

I stayed here with my family for a month in January/February and love this hotel! The waterviews are incredible and the sunsets are even better. Chip, Charlene, Paul, Ong, and the rest of the staff are so friendly and took great care of us. The indoor pool was clean and also has amazing waterfront views. As someone who is highly sensitive to mold and unable to stay in most hotels, this hotel was great for me. Built in 2023, no carpets in the room, and doors that open for fresh bay air. Even the non-balcony rooms on the waterfront side have Juliet doors that fully open. My only issue was that the bathrooms don't have ventilation fans, making them more prone to develop mold in the future if people don't open the bathroom and balcony doors briefly after showering. There’s not a more peaceful place in Maryland than sitting on your balcony at the Hyatt Place Kent Narrows, watching the Skipjacks head out for their daily oyster runs alongside fishing boats, pleasure craft, and sailboats — all right there on the Chesapeake Bay. It’s a front-row seat to real waterfront life. Crossing the Bay Bridge to get here is always exciting. The views are amazing, and once you arrive, the setting delivers every single time. I’ve experienced some of the most beautiful calm days and some truly incredible storms from rooms at this hotel, and it never gets old. The staff are consistently warm, welcoming, and accommodating. Our son sent us here for a birthday gift for his mother. Spent two wonderful days just relaxing and enjoying the view from our upgraded suite overlooking the waterfront. Breakfast every morning started our day off great. Surrounded by seafood restaurants. We had our pick of a different one every evening. Our host Charlene when we checked in made us feel so welcome. Since it was my birthday a welcome birthday gift from the staff was in our room. An unexpected surprise. Hyatt goes above and beyond to make sure you feel welcome. Thank you so much.
