Hyatt Place Chicago/Itasca

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and couldn’t be happier with the service. The rooms were extremely clean and very comfortable, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Breakfast was delicious and freshly served every day, with great options to start the morning. The front desk lady was super helpful, friendly, and always ready to assist with anything we needed. The cleaning ladies were also very kind and did an excellent job keeping everything spotless. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Great place for us to stay to visit our friends. Twice a year for the past five years. Great little bar inn the hotel, good prices for drinks. Staff is very friendly. Rooms are well appointed, clean and roomy. Didn't have breakfast this time but last time it was excellent. All in all a great value for the stay.

Positive: Good location and price . Staff was nice and professional. Negative: The bathroom door was next so close to the toilet. When exiting from the shower I had to move close to the toilet in order to exit the bathroom. There's no microwave in the room. I had to go back down the lobby and it's only there after hours.

3.5 / 5.0 Had a decent stay here for a couple of nights. The good: The staff; the receptionists were very accommodating and kind. The place was kept clean and tidy, didn't see any bugs or signs of dirtiness. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space and good lighting. The bad: The rooms were in a state of disrepair. The first room we got had a really loud heater that was shaking badly. The second room's heater thermostat was not functioning correctly so we had it set to 60 degrees, but it was more like 72. That room's heater progressively got louder and was creaking constantly by the time we left. Hot water was not working one of the nights, so we had to take our showers in another room. I would not stay here again unless they fixed up their rooms better and checked for these

Had high expectations being a Hyatt property. Did not meet those expectations. Hotel itself shows age. Cleanliness is below average. Climate control in room was awful. Either froze, or too hot. Worst sleep I've ever had for 2 nights. Water pressure was terrible in shower. Free breakfast was below average. Not even complimentary lotion in the room. Will stay elsewhere during my next stay in the area. Only positive was it was a quiet stay, besides the airplanes landing overhead.
