Hyatt Centric Las Olas Fort Lauderdale

Excellent repeat stay! We have stayed numerous times over the past several years and each stay has been consistently great. Professional friendly front desk staff, clean modern common areas, nice and helpful cleaning staff and comfortable clean modern rooms with no carpet and all of the upscale things one comes to expect from a higher end hotel. Modern bright and large bathroom and shower and good lighting throughout the room. Excellent Globalist recognition. Very nice pool and gym for city type hotel. Great location on Las Olas next to the new park and riverwalk path while being steps away from all restaurants and shops. Had the pleasure of service from Direen in the restaurant. She was most pleasant and while she was also efficient, took the time to share conversation with us as we spoke about our families, experiences and other little tidbits of life. My wife, daughter and me thoroughly enjoyed our meals as Direen took excellent care us. I would also like to add 5 stars for the service of Juan who greeted us at arrival and was extremely helpful with valet services during our stay. He remembers the guest name and is wonderfully polite. Luciano was also helpful at our arrival assisting us with our luggage and accessories to our room. Excellent experience at this property. Great, friendly and prompt service. All text messages and housekeeping requests were addressed promptly. As Globalist I received an upgrade to a balcony room on the top floor. The bedding was incredibly comfortable and we had a great night's sleep. I also appreciated the white noise machine in the room. We travel with our own since we are light sleepers, so that saved us having to unpack it for the quick overnight stay. Our balcony door did not lock, so be mindful if traveling with children, and either ensure it locks, or request a room without a balcony. Having arrived late evening due to our reserved hotel being overbooked, the reception staff were extremely helpful & accommodated us in a lovely room with an excellent breakfast. The following morning we were greeted by the hotel manager William who championed our case with our previous hotel regarding their overbooking & cancellation policy & succeeded in having our booking reinstated. We would have loved to stay at the Hyatt but the purpose of our visit was a beach holiday & unfortunately it was located downtown. We would have no hesitation staying next time we visit when we wish to explore more of the Fort Lauderdale area. Our previous hotel (another chain) was also very generous in its recompense so our faith in humanity was restored & our holiday greatly enjoyed.
