Hubbard Lake Motel

Run don't walk! The rooms are very dark, even with lights on. Only 4 channels on the T V. No cable. There is a wifi extender but couldn't do anything using the Wifi. You turn on the water for a shower and the water was gray and stinks horribly!!! You have to pay to remove your trash!

My husband and I came to visit Hubbard Lake for an event that I myself was taking part of in the community center. I am from a small town tho not nearly as beautiful as Hubbard Lake and especially not as many friendly people as Hubbard Lake. * Upon meeting the owner, Patty she was friendly and helpful. She right away made me feel welcome to stay here. I had reservations made months in advance without any concerns. Once in our room, it was cozy, clean and spacious. However, within moments Patty (owner) came to us and offered a different room if we had so chosen. We did choose upgraded room that was similar tho much more at home comfort! We decided to stay here because we thought we could access Hubbard Lake but we really couldn't (There's a dock with steps but no shoreline) and ended up driving 30 minutes to lake huron. Anyhow the rooms are dated but nice, VERY clean. The owner was very nice as well. The beds were unexpectedly comfy. We got a kitchenette and it was very roomy. However if you come during a hot spell, I'd suggest elsewhere because there is NO AIR CONDITIONING. It was a high of 76 the day we were here so it wasn't too bad but it was slightly uncomfortable by bedtime. This probably explains why the people 2 doors down sat in their truck drinking ALL day instead of inside. There is no cable, just 4 air channels, no wifi and cell service was weak (I have Verizon, my mom has another company and had no signal) G

You should probably look elsewhere. I had booked a room for my son and I to stay locally for a family reunion. We booked a single room in advance at an agreed upon $100 per night plus tax. Two days before our arrival my son was covid positive. I called Patti and explained the situation. She agreed to only charge me for one night, which I agreed to and I felt was fair for cancelling on short notice. Over the weekend I received a charge for the full amount plus tax. I then verified my statement today, and the full amount of the charge posted. When I contacted Patti to see what happened, she told me that she had three other cancellations over the weekend and she had to charge me the full amount. This was not what was agreed upon and she made no effort to correct the wrong. I fully understand

Absolutely, positively the worst place ever. $126 for a hard - HARD - bed, 62 temp in the room that could not be adjusted, and a cold shower (seriously... Not even luke warm) that smelled like rotten eggs. Owner just dismissed our complaint with no type of compensation and said, "things happen"... Even though we told her the other guests had told us the broiler had crapped out the day before we got there... She KNEW and didn't care. For a religious woman (as per the password for the non existent internet), all she wanted was the money... Absolutely no common courtesy, or care for her guests once she had our money
