It's a nice little get away. The cabins were ok. No AC but there is a constant breeze off the lake. If you're a dog person it's a great place to bring the pup. The owner doesn't mind. The lake has it's own flow. The seasons and weather dictate what you catch and how to find it. We found a few nice small mouth. They have a Genral store, bar/ restaurant ,Dollar genral ,Marathon gas station close by and that's it. On the lake you can get fuel from the marina which is in the north bay on the west shore. Look for a shell sign it's small. Hubbard lake also has a restaurant on it. We didn't have chance to stop in. They have an excellent menu and open daily at 4 pm. The lake is huge perfect power boats. If your looking for a rustic getaway to relax this is it.
