HTR Black Hills Resort

Smack dab in the middle of the black hills. Easy day trips to Mt Rushmore, Deadwood, Sturgis, Spearfish, and Custer State Park. The campground is clean, staff is friendly, and they have a variety of camping and accommodations. Almost all of the park is in the trees with ample shade available. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to a future stay.

Staff was great!! From booking and throughout our stay. Beautiful campground in a great location to be able to enjoy everything in the Black Hills. Facilities very well maintained and clean. Love that it was tucked into the woods. Kids enjoyed the pool, jumping pad, play ground and gaga ball. There is a small coffee stand located in the campground next to the office, which was excellent! I got an amazing latte almost every morning I were were there!

We traveled from NW Washington with another couple to the HTR Black Hills in South Dakota. They put us in sites next to each other which was great! RV sites were very large and clean. Just enough trees around to feel private and beautiful!! The restrooms with showers were very nice and cleaned daily. It was also a great location, very central to all the sites. If we ever travel to Rapid City again with our RV we will stay here.

This was a very nice campground. Well maintained, clean, and had nice amenities.there is a jump pad, a couple fenced in dog parks, horse shoe, Gaga ball, basket ball, mini golf, sluicing area and a pool with hot tub. The hot tub is for guests 18 and older- no one under with OR without an adult. The campground also has bathroom, shower and washing machine facilities. For the laundry machines there are no coin machines in the laundry room. The office should have some 10$ rolls of quarters though. One day of our stay the wifi was down, but they were activity trying to fix it. And then our last day the pool and hot tub area was closed for unforeseen circumstances. There is a bit of traffic noise due to location. And more or less depending on where your site is. We stayed at a pull thru closer

We camped for three nights. Very quiet even being so close to a main road. That was not a problem at all. Fantastic location in fact. Close to stores in town. Fuel, etc. Super close to Mt Rushmore so make sure to go during the day and back at night. Great for all of the towns and attractions. I would 100 percent go back if we ever travel to this area.
