Howdy Hotel

Stayed here while working back in the early 2000’s people were fantastic. The history here is amazing as well.

Not sure how TripAdvisor has this listed as a B&B - it's a historic (read "old") hotel built in 1905. Yep, it's worn, but provides basic lodging. Linens have always been clean (I've stayed here about 5 times over the past couple of years). I was here twice on this year's road trip - once in a standard room that has a small modular shower/sink/toilet set up that works, although a bit snug. The second time I was upgraded to a kitchen room - complete kitchen that was nice because I could freeze my water bottles in the full size refrigerator (Room 109). Odd siting of the toilet and shower (in a hallway between the kitchen and sleeping room), but they worked. Would be tough for a family that wanted to move between the rooms when the bathroom was being used.||You have to call for a reservation.

Stay away at all costs! Horrible smoke smell! They obviously allow smoking (heavily) everywhere in the hotel. Disgusting Stains on all furniture. No thermostat or heat in our room. No hot water in the other room. It was so bad we couldnt tolerate staying within 20 minutes of showing up (and not getting a refund) It’s nothing short of disgusting. Hands down the worst hotel I’ve ever been to. All decor and furniture from the 1960’s or 70’s at best. When leaving and asking for a refund, the clerk was walking around without shoes or socks behind the bar. Gross! Terrible experience. Please do not go here.

Built in 1905, the "Commercial Hotel" was a mainstay of Forsyth. Now it's the Howdy Hotel, but not much has changed. Rooms are small with a module with shower/toilet/sink added later. Some rooms are rented on a longer basis and some of these use the common facilities. ||But, the rooms are clean, air conditioning works and our room had a new television (I had to program it). Note - for $48 we got a one bed room. For $5 more, we got a room with two beds.... and a complete kitchen! Loved the full-size refrigerator. For the first time ever, the WiFi worked well.||||No breakfast, but the attached Speedway Cafe has excellent food. Run by some pretty awesome people that'll make u feel like you're at home❤️💯💪🏻 come stay at this quaint little place kick back your feet and know that you're in good hands! Dont forget to grab u a bite to eat at the restaurant too!! 10🌟🌟 shout-out to Kayla who will go above and beyond to make your stay the best it can be!!!
