Howard Johnson by Wyndham Vero Beach / Downtown

For what you pay for, it is five stars. Don’t compare to the Hamptons. The beds were cozy, room was clean, mildly private back porch which is very nice. The front desk staff was very delightful and friendly. I stayed one night with my kids cause we were passing through and it was a nice stay.

Perfect for a one night stay. They are fixing up the hotel and it’s coming along nicely. There was a loud ac unit outside my room that sounded like a vacuum but nothing someone can’t deal with. Scott and the staff were amazing and accommodating. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Positive: The location was perfect and near to enough local places for shopping and food. Negative: The shower was out of soap and shampoo, there were random hairs on the wall, beds, etc. And the floor was so dirty that after a shower we walked out, then back into the bathroom, and left muddy looking footprints on the wet floor towel. Keep your shoes on

I read a lot of bad reviews before reserving. It was the perfect locación and perfect price for me, so I did it. This is not a 5 star hotel. Beware of your expectations. My room was very clean, I saw no bugs in the week I was there. Beds and pillows are confortable. Air conditioner is silent. I saw no shady people around. Basking Robbins next door, Walgreens on the other side. Across the street, Walmart Neiborhood Market. Plenty of restaurants very near. I had a great week with my son. (Sure, they can improve somethings, like the carpert).

Room smelled like mildew like the carpet had been wet and not cleaned. There was urine on the back of the toilet. The tub was not cleaned. The shower head looked disgusting. The shower curtain was stained. Sink was full of hair that was not ours. There was roaches in the bathroom. There were mouse traps behind the tv stand. We barely got any hot water the first two nights of our stay, water was barely warm. The last night the water was completely cold and would not get warm.
